Ares, named after the Greek god of war as well as the planet Mars due to their color similarities. Its the third rocky planet of the Helios system.
Its believed that Ares once orbited Helios at a greater distance on the system's Goldilocks zone and had once possessed liquid water in its surface on its early ages, but got closer to the star has time passed. its possible that Ares orbited very closely to another rocky planet called Hephaestus. One day they got so close to each other, As Ares gravity catapulted Hephaestus to a wider orbit, and Ares was was slightly pushed to the opposite side. As temperatures rose gradually water started to evaporate, making the sea levels lower, and exposing the iron sea floor to the oxygen rich atmosphere that Ares once had, Speeding up the the rust formation on it's surface and giving it its notorious blood red crust Ares now possesses.

I really love the composition regardless though. The colors are particularly alluring. The starfield is pretty good too. Keep up the good work.
